Dr. Patti Brock, one of the founding pioneers, embarked on a life-changing mission trip to El Salvador with the intent of performing essential surgeries. However, upon her arrival, she was met with a disheartening reality—the absence of even the most basic surgical gloves. Driven by this experience, Medical Bridges was born, fueling a passionate pursuit of transforming lives and fostering healthcare across borders.

Since its inception, Medical Bridges has extended its reach to an impressive 105 countries, extending its helping hand to communities far and wide. Moreover, during critical times of local emergencies, such as the devastating Hurricane Harvey, the organization swiftly responded, standing as a pillar of support for the affected communities. Additionally, when the COVID pandemic ravaged Texas, causing shortages in vital medical supplies, Medical Bridges rose to the occasion and valiantly served 85 rural clinics, ensuring healthcare access to those in need.
